Compressors rarely fail due to their age or condition. Therefore a Recom Compressor will last just as long as a new one, costs less, is an industry commitment to recycling, and an import replacement.

Recom re-manufactured compressors are individually hand ‘re-manufactured’ and bench tested. The company complies with AS 3902 and maintains a quality culture throughout. All compressors are backed with an eighteen-month warranty, that’s six months longer than that provided by the original manufacture, and the workshop adopts a stringent policy of component replacement to protect this extended warranty.

With an ever-increasing worldwide demand on recycling and energy management, it makes good sense to reconstitute a product to new, rather than simply throw it away. Our inspection team will undertake a thorough investigation, coupled with an oil analysis, to reveal the cause of your compressor breakdown.

Recom Engineering is the distributor of Hitachi Scroll and GFA (Kirby Replacement) Air-conditioning Compressors. With one of these compressors you’ll enjoy low sound and low vibration, high reliability and efficiency.

Recom and CEC remanufacture ALL types of hermetic, semi and open drive compressors. Compressors from 5 hp to 200 hp are totally stripped and remanufactured to OEM standards all with an 18-month warranty.

Step 1

Stripping: As the product is stripped down, the individual components are measured in the areas of "wear and tear" and the outcome recorded on the job card. The job number is identified on the block and individual parts for traceability.

Step 2

Cleaning: The homogeneity of the individual components or wholeness of the unit parts is maintained throughout the cleaning operation whereby one job only is to be processed at any one time.

Step 3

Rebuilding: Throughout the rebuilding process, the job or components belonging to one unit are confined within one location which is sufficiently clean from other jobs so as to prevent the likelihood of confusion or mix ups. Any new component that is being built into the unit is also recorded on the job car with the relevant identification code.

Step 4

Testing: All pertinent performance characteristics as per the manufacturing specifications and/pr customer requirements are recorded on the job card, representing the actual readings or test results achieved.
