CSI – Compressor Special Investigations: Autopsy on a Compressor
This special training program is directly suited to senior technicians, apprentices and line managers. The program will be presented by Recom team leaders with the presentation taking 60-90 minutes.
As you will see from the attached snapshot, compressor failure is not limited to one small area and encompasses both mechanical and electrical failures.
The course goes into great detail and covers all relevant refrigeration and electrical failures that occur prior to a compressor failing.
In October 2009 Recom commenced delivering this program on a national basis and we invite you to contact your Recom/CEC state manager to arrange a booking.
Cost
This exclusive package is available for sale at $199 + GST, however delivery of the program in the metro area will be conducted free of charge by Recom Engineering.
In House Apprentice Training
In order to assist the trade, Recom Engineering offers a free special in house compressor diagnosis course of its own. Students are usually apprentices and can attend a one or two week course at any Recom facility.
This training allows the student to become totally aware of the resultant damage from system electrical and mechanical faults. During the course students will learn to strip and identify all types of reciprocating compressors and receive training on how to assemble a compressor correctly.
At the completion of the course the student receives a certificate for their records.
Another short course is also available on product identification. This may be of useful for any new employee (male or female) who has never seen the inside of a compressor before.
We are always looking for experienced fitters, turners, and refrigeration technicians, as well as apprentices. Please email your details to assist at recom-eng dot com dot au
